where did you get a fa-123 cable? I have been looking for quite a while.
Citer : Posté le 27/08/2023 17:50 | #
Is that the SB-88 cable? It's pretty hard to find these days I think...

I found one, it gives me the same error.

Let's start from the beginning - what model do you have, what software are you using, what kind of port are you connecting the calculator to on your computer? Any other details about what you're doing and in what order would be helpful. Last but definitely not least, what error message are you getting (is it the one from the OP)?

Cfx-9850GB plus
SB-88 (A)
I am using fa-124
Details: I can transmit and recive on the calculator and a light lights up. Nothing on the computer can light up the other light. I am using windows xp x32
The error message is stated above:
"transmit error:
check tool model is correctly selected
check for proper connection of the communication cable
check that the port was correctly selected "
I was thinking the SB-88 cable could not be connected correctely inside it.

i don't know if it can help you !?

Hmm this is a bit difficult. To be honest I've never used these old models so I don't know how the communications method works. Can you first check in Windows' device manager whether you get the calculator listed on a COM port or something similar?

I did, and I set FA-124 for the correct com port.
(it changes every time I unplug the cable)

Right, so if I'm following correctly you fall into this tutorial. You should be able to machine translate that, hopefully. Is there any difference between the protocol described there and what you're doing?
